Dum Dum Girls - “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out (The Smiths cover)”
When we first decided that we were going to do Covers Week, this cover immediately came to mind. Featured earlier this year on what is easily one of my favourite releases so far, the Dum Dum Girls version of this song is the one that really sticks with me. No matter how many times this song’s been covered by various artists, I always end up coming back to this. Dum Dum Girls are releasing a new full length album Only in Dreams on September 27th, and if it’s anything like this four song EP, I’m totally there.
